Road Tax Exepmption

I was at Himley Hall yesterday with Stag owners from North / South Birmingham / Worcs and Black Country Area's and there was a discussion on the road tax exemption rules .... yes they are unfair!
I was told that there is a petition and if there gets 10,000 signatures on it then the Goverment has to hear it in the House of Commons
Anybody know anything about this? ....

Yes, it will get a hearing at the house of commons but,............deaf ears will not hear. The way the economy is at the moment they will not allow it,..also who is going to pay for all the damage the riots have caused?.Not a good time to debate the cause I am afraid.

I think it is worth signing the petition if only to be persistent.

However, I do agree that with the current state of the economy it is very unlikely that the Government will give money away.

In any case, at some point in the future the taxation system will have to change as the growing number of ‘green’ cars reduces the revenue from road tax.

Not sure where the tax will come from, it is unlikely to be on petrol if the number of electric cars significantly increase over the next 10 years.
