    Soft top rear window

Hello everyone how many of you cant see out of your soft top plastic rear windows? what's that I hear, you all can see out, then tell me what you use to clean your windows, mine is misted up like an old pervs glasses but not scratched as in places there are patches of clear see through plastic, the misty patches look to me as if they could be removable but as yet not moveable.
The window was like this when I purchased the car, I have tried soap and water, white vinegar, wd 40 .(in a small patch in case it melted) and Mr muscle.
At the moment I just drive with it unzipped but as I am a fully paid up member of the stag all year driving club it would be nice to zip it up and see out the back.
Its a big day for me and the stag tomorrow so if everybody could be on cock up alert for me it would be appreciated , 1st job change clutch slave cylinder, if this is successful I will then drain and flush the coolant and then fit Chris's header tank, I know minor stuff for all you professionals but these are major tasks for me so watch this space ...Steve

    Hello,
Try polish, which is not too abrasive. Some people simply take tothpaste.
    Good luck!
    Dieter.

T-Cut or Brasso, then use normal polish such as Auto-Glym

You could try a product called....................Renovo plastic window polish, but it's not cheap they also do other products for cleaning the soft top.

Have no connection with them etc:

Renovo,or Auto-sol, produce specific items for this job, normally in a tube, find it at a decent motor accs-shop. This is the correct stuff for the job. Last tube i bought was around £6.

Hi Steve, the window appears to mist up because the surface breaks down, you have to use an abrasive to polish it clear. Renovo window polish is the best, be prepared for some work, but you will be astonished at the result. An American company called Mothers does one, as do a few makers, but the Renovo one is far and away the best. Enjoy, Martin.

My local Halfords does not seem to stock Renovo any more, but I was amazed to find out that you can buy it from Amazon.

Worth a look as their prices are reasonable and you get it delivered to your front door too!

                Regards
