I think we are easy to spot mate...
I have also been known to talk to her and stroke her bonnet (the Stag that is )
Especially before I embark on taking something apart, " this time old girl work with me and don't fight me all the way" " you know I am doing my best to make this work"
It's like second marriage without any sex....maybe just petrol lust Maybe the fumes are getting to me I best go and have a lie down now!

My wife calls the Stag my other woman (or the Slag as I spend much of my time underneath it )

I always think of cars as female .. similar traits ....

our other classic is a 1990 Mini Cooper that my wife uses as her everyday car when she is not using the Stag. My daughter will be learning to drive in a few months and has already said that she wants a Mini as well - so it looks like I will soon be joining the "doing up a Mini for your daughter" club!

Hi Glyn, yep, it handles like it's on rails, goes exactly where you point it the instant you point it there. The fat wheels tend to tramline though and the suspension is rock solid hard. The MOT man doing the bounce test couldn't get the suspension to compress - the only movement was in the tyre sidewall!!
