Refurbishing lucas alternater.. lost regulator wires!

I'm refurbishing a Lucas alternator which I believe is an ACR 18 (it said so on the tag) and have just bought a kit from jcrsupplies (ebay). After taking the regulator off I find it has 4 wires on it and the replacement only 2... Is this common and am I looking at a wrongly ordered kit? what to do? Ideas please anyone!

Having now cleaned the old regulator I've got some numbers to reference so I got back to Paul at JCR Supplies and found out that the current part no is 3697. He's been fab and there's one in the post for me. If you're thinking of doing the same, it's important that you check the part number on your old one as there are two identical looking regulators, the other one has a thermistor built in and is a 3697T.
