    Brake Pedal Creak

Pressing the brake pedal gives a creaking sound. The brakes work fine, it just seems to be the operation of the servo. Does anyone know if it can be cured or is it something to learn to live with?

You could try lubricating the pedal bushes.. It wont be easy maybe a squirt of WD40 (other spray lubricants are available ) in the area of the cross shaft might work (Use the red tube usually supplied with the can and then discarded by the buyer to fire it in the right place)
Spray a bit on the pedal clevis pin at the same time.

Check if it's the spring at the top of the pedal that's making the noise. If yes, you'll need to experiment with lubricating or insulating the contact points.

Thanks guys. I liberally applied WD40 and it seems to have cured the problem although I had thought it was down to the operation of the push rod on the servo. One of the easier fixes!

It's not just the brake, Simon.
My manual clutch sounds like a frog with a sore throat...
I'll try some WD40 as advised.

I've had the same problem and it was solved with a squirt of WD40 - need to do it every 3 months or so depending on useage.
