Following on from our failure to meet up at Goodwood. Raoul (Marco Polo) contacted me by email to say that he would be going to this little show in Bearsted near Maidstone as he would be visiting family. Now this gave me a dilemma as today was my wife’s birthday and we were going out for a meal at lunchtime. I negotiated with her that I could slip away after lunch to meet up. Things didn't go quite to plan as she woke up feeling quite ill and stayed in bed all day I still went out to lunch with the outlaws and my two teenage sons.

It was three o’clock by the time I got to the show and we soon had a good old chat looking at the cars as they all gradually drove off.

It was really nice to meet Raoul all the way from Queensland Australia. I am sure we will both read each other’s posts differently on the forum now that we have both met.
Comparing photos taken at Goodwood it was quite amusing that when the Spitfires flew over we must have been standing very close to each other but as neither of us knew what we looked like we were none the wiser.
