Another Year another MOT

This was me leaving the garage at 11am with the top down the sun on my bonce and my new MOT
Another clean pass
He did mention some of the changes coming in around things like dash warning lights, also that the new cert will be on one sheet of paper with any advisory notices and be a completely printed document (i.e. on plain paper) very eco friendly
Still got mine for another year, even if the damn windscreen wipers decided to stop working when I back her out of the garage. Seems I have a bad connection near the motor as a bit of fiddling with the wires got them performing!


Now back to the Mini as I now have the new body panels. So this weekend with be a few hours of chopping and grinding At least it.s nice and warm for it all.
Might take the Stag to work tomorrow

He was impressed with my welding work too which was nice as I have done the floors etc earlier this year.
He is a classic car man though with a Mark 1 V4 Capri which is a minter. Always helps as they then approach the car with more respect!

I always enjoy the chance to have a good nose around underneath whilst she's up on the lift.

Thats two in a row, but my heart did miss a beat this morning as they rang and said I could go an hour earlier so very little time to resolve the wiper issue!

Still all done now

A sympathetic tester is VITAL ! I've seen some aweful things at some garages, if anybody under the age of 30 works there I won't go near them ! Personally I can't bear being near the old girl during the test, I always leave her with them.

Well done Glyn, thats two Topaz Stags tested for another year. My tester is classic car friendly and owns a Standard himself. I had some worries about the Hillman Minx as it had only done 7 miles since its last MOT and I didnt get much time to give it the once over, but it passed so double celebration. Both cars had a run out tonight to a classic car meet at a local pub, lovely evening with loads of classics turning up.

HI All. Congrats on all the MOT passes. I took our GT6 in for it's MOT yesterday and it passed so all clear for rear wheel drive action in the snow again this winter!! The Stag is going in for her MOT next month. Regards Bruce

hello glyn yes please including what products you used ,mines being used daily in and around london by the wife she got sick of her car being neglected so took the stag untill i did a load of bodywork and fixed her exhaust all done now and shes going to tax it monday so i geeet it back soon
