Hard top re-furb'

Would anyone be kind enough to send me some pictures of the inside of their hardtop ?.I have now come to the point where I am ready to do mine.It is completely stripped with a lovely new piece welded to the front where the dreaded tin worm has been.

I have found a trimmer who will do the job for me extremely reasonably-if I supply the bits, but in return I have promised some pictures...etc for him to work from.I have the standard diagrams showing chrome strips and finishers etc but find no real drawings of the headlining in situ.

Areas such as beneath the rear screen (where it meets the car) and under the rear screen itself. Along the edges above the doors,so he can see how it is finished.

This would be a great help.

have you tried doing a search, i have completed mine but never took pictures, i know Julian has some, not sure how many though, he did post some for me to look at when i was working on mine.
i'm sure we could all give advice and instructions if this would help

Hi Dave,

As Alan has said, I've got some pictures from when I did a complete refurb on my hardtop. However, it was one of the first jobs I did on my car and it's only since then that I've learned to take LOTS of pictures

That's very kind of you.I will drop by after the 19th.In the meantime I'll get a list together of what I need.The last time I did this the total came to just over £500.00 ! and that was before the VAT rise...........Hell !

Glad to be of assistance - I know I've had plenty of it on here - although, for the life of me, I can't remember how I helped you out before

Somewhere I've got a page full of notes on hardtop refurbishing that I sent to about a dozen people on here which I hope they found helpful. If you're having a professional do yours I guess you won't need these? although if you do let me know and I'll start searching to find where on earth they are !

I'll get your email(s) with pics off later today although I'm afraid that there aren't too many.
