Stag dust cover as advertised in this month's mag

Anyone already got one of these? Seems a good price.

I was hoping you would get an answer Kansas as I was thinking the same thing. Looks to be quite a simple cover but would probably do the job well enough. I think I will take a punt on one, not too much to loose if it's rubbish.

My opinion is worth exactly what you paid for it.

I tried to order one on line this evening but no box available on form to state SOC member so wrong price came up.

I've e-mailed them so hopefully can confirm order tomorrow at the right price.

Once received will let you know whether any good.

Spoke to them on Wednesday and they advised that in order to get special offer price orders can only be phoned through and offer will end 30th October.
After that price returns to £37.50 + postage.
I ordered one which came today.
First impression is a little disappointing. The grey material is light and breathable as described. However it could have done with being 18" longer as only reaches as far as the bumpers at either end. Width is OK reaching the bottom of the doors over roof and touches the floor at the boot and bonnet. It's not shaped at all so could be used for any car of a similar size. Aesthetically it could be better too as it has a central seam which has been stitched with the opposite sides of the material joined together which although not a big variation in appearance would have been a perfect match had they gone to the trouble of reversing it before joining it together.

Overall I would give it 6 out of 10

Re: the price of this cover

I have taken this up with Metex and they have confirmed that the price in November will be £37.50 + P&P. This will now be reflected in their magazine advert, so, no more 'exclusive Club price'. If you want one at £32.50 then buy it now by telephoning them and quoting the exclusive SOC price of £32.50. Or, if you want to stock up on a Christmas present for someone you know with a Stag or similar size car - then don't delay.

                  Peter

PS Nice review Nick, just about what I would expect for £32.50
