    Top Gear Sat Nav

I'm sure this will divide opinion, but really, how cool is this!?

If I didnt have a sat nav already I'd seriously consider it - although in reality I suspect it would be rather tame. I would imagine Jeremy's cutting wit and sarcasm would be curtailed in the interest of a product that actually works.

as i was aware the beeb banned this product this morning as it infringed some contractual obligations with them.so if any are sold they may well become collectors pieces as the rest have been pulled .heard it on the radio this morning on the car park they call the M25.

Out of interest, are the speed camera warning bits legal in UK?
            The answer isn't 42, it's 1/137

I guess so. The lady on the SatNav in my Nokia phone calls them 'Safety Camera'. This is not any form of camera detector (i.e. radar) but just a database of known fixed cameras.

My Tom Tom Europe pings loud and proud with UK fixed speed and traffic light cameras. It also includes known speed camers in road works in updates.
I think what are illegal are the devices I understand are sometimes fitted to the front of cars which prevent a mobile speed gun getting a correct reading.

                  Drew,

Speed camera and laser detectors are legal to use as are the speed camera warnings on Sat Navs, and you can download fresh databases of new fixed and mobile cameras monthly to update the system from various websites, but as mentioned above you can't use the radar blocker that goes at the front of the vehicle by the number plate and jams the radar signal. If the Feds catch you with the blocker fitted, they'll throw the book at you.
