Steve Scarts is a polisher not a driver

I called in at Steves place today and the sun was shining and a lovely morning. He had been out in the normal car and left the Stag at home, despite having all the time in the world and it being a beautiful day.

His defense was that he was going to spend the rest of the day polishing it!!!!!

As I was putting the wind deflector on my car, in readiness for a fast motorway drive, his neighbour came past and asked if he had changed his cars' colour. She went on to say that he spends more time cleaning it than driving it, so it looks like this is normal behaviour for him....

Is he the new IanB? At least Ian drives his car, just with the roof up.

Alan - Ahh, got nothing - very clean comment, but are you selling the spare gearbox with your car? I'm willing to talk.

In my defence my neighbour will naturally regularly see me outside cleaning my car, as it's rare that I'm outside the front of my house for 2 hours in one stint to do anything else.
And I received many compliments today AFTER I finished washing and polishing my car (bought a new orbital polisher and wanted to try it out) while on the M25 carpark between J6&4, with the roof down, for nothing more than to enjoy the drive.
For the rest of my life I can happily live with all the jibes knowing that once while on the M25 in my very shiny Stag, a Pug206 full of 20 something girls, one rolled down her window and yelled out over 2 lanes something she'd like to do, which was quite complimentary.

Nope, but had to get with the times and buy an electrical enhanced version of my hands.
The whole wax on, wax off thing is a crock - I still can't fight to save myself no matter how many times I polish the car!
