Does disconnecting the battery affect the immobiliser?

I know that this may sound a daft question, but I need to disconnect the battery to complete a job - will this affect the immobiliser at all?

    Regards

    Hi Peter

It doesn't with mine,I normally leave my battery disconnected if it's not being used for a few days.

    Cheers

The only time you need to worry is bump starting with a flat battery and an immobiliser. It doesn't work. If you live at the top of a big hill, like I do, that is a good thing to know before you get to the junction at the bottom of the hill, with some speed and no brake assistance.
