    Dash Update

    The dash i reveneered is now all pristine and coated with Rustins, all day yesterday, every 30 to 40 mins a fresh coat, in all 16 coats, they said 4 base then 12 top coats on frosts so thats what i did. what do you think guys.

    this is how they looked before Rustins

    hello did you spray them or hand paint ?

      Hi,

      to be honest i rolled them, bought a gloss roller, it was better than using a brush, it controlled the flow better and put a thin layer on, and it was quicker, i've not got a sprayer.

        Looks to be a nice finish wel done mate. But tell me did you do them in your bare feet???? LOL

          A few hours work with some 1200 grit wet and dry and you should smooth these out nicely. I did the same with my estate and the TR, but had just brushed the varnish on mine so it took a bit more sanding. still got good results though

            Sure i can see pink varnish on that toe, but rest very nice

              Hi,

              As well as 1200 wet and dry, you can also use T-cut to help get the finish really smooth. Also use some wax to giuve the final shine. Well done.

                Hi guys,

                sorry for the late reply, have been working in Dagenham ( new depot), no internet yet.

                thanks for all the comments and compliments too, SWMBO has the nail varnish at the ready for the next pics and i have the 1200 at the ready too. i'm going to finish them off over the weekend when i have more time, glad you all like them. so it's the 1200 first then buff them with T-Cut, i have some beeswax in the shed so i will polish them up with that too.
                i will post some more pics when they are fully finished.

                as i have said though they are the first attempt and i will sell these when they are finished.
