A variety of ways depending which bit you're removing
The section with the dials is held with 4 black screws in each corner but you'll also need to remove the hazard switch and the rheostat for it to come away cleanly. (drop the steering column to it's lowest point as well)
The glove box lid unscrews from it's hinges and if you take the actual box out...from memory this gives you access to the airvent section (need to check that one) Both airvents are held in by a similar fashion to the speed and rev counter ie with knurled nuts!

There's more, like removing the centre section but without being near the car I can't remember

Sort of. Obviously the instrument surround in front of you is held by the four screws you can see.

Then, most of the other bits are held by clamps mostly held by nuts behind them. If you remove the instrument one first it makes it that bit easier to get to the centre vent one. If you look through the vents you'll see 4(?) screws to remove that release the vent and then you can see how to remove that one. Passenf=ger vent one is IIRC a clamp with a couple of 4BA nuts and you really want to remove the glovebox in its entirety to see what you're doing (glovebox is just all the screws you can see along the front edges)

I think that's about it for the main dash - it all becomes fairly clear as you start dismantling. The tough bit is the radio surround area. You'll need to remove everything on there - are you ok with that or do you need any advice on that?

Good luck - like I said it's not bad and if you can do your big ends and mains from below then this'll be a doddle

      Cheers

Hi Andrew, there is nothing wrong with it , it's just that I have got a nice polished up one for my birthday present, and yes it is a manual.
