    Stag Wanted for Film Shoot

    Dear All

I have had this short notice request for a Stag for a film shoot. The main requirement seems to be for the car to be roadworthy but slightly battered – some panels dented or in primer. Also first shoot is Monday 24th October.

Because of the short notice can you contact me so I can co-ordinate what we offer them.

Also be aware that film companies chop and change right up to the last minute, so you may be successful or disappointed, at short notice.

    Thanks

    Emrhys

    Dear Emrhys

I wondered if one of your members is able to help us. We have just started filming a brand new feature film – it is a British paranormal mystery-thriller based in London about a couple who are revisited by crimes from their past.

Our female lead is a feisty and sexy ex-detective in her late 20s. As such, we want her car to reflect her character in the film and we would love her to be driving a classic car. We felt that a Triumph Stag would be perfect for her character – though we feel that her car wouldn’t be a fully restored but would be mid-project – running and fully roadworthy but with some beaten up panels, maybe some parts primed and ready for a re-spray, maybe a few dents etc.

Unfortunately, the gentleman who was going to provide a car for the film is now unable to help as he is having issues with his engine so has had to let us down. We understand of course, but this means that we need to find someone who can help us at short notice.

With that in mind, I wondered if any of your members would have a roadworthy Stag (ie: MOT’d & taxed) but one that wasn’t in prime condition who would be happy for us to use their car in the film.

I can confirm that we would pay a fee for the loan of the car. I can also categorically confirm that the only use of the car is for driving around London – there are no stunts, no car chases and no damage will be inflicted on the car. I say this because I also am a classic car owner (I have a 1971 vw campervan) and want to assure any owners who might want to help us that we will not cause any damage to the car as part of our filming. We will also fully insure the vehicle for use in the film.

If there is anyone who might like to help us with our feature film, please ask them to contact me and send me a picture of the car – my details are below.

    Here is a summary:
    • Car needed: Triumph Stag
    • Condition of vehicle: fully roadworthy but an unfinished project, a bit battered perhaps.
    • Driver: actress who holds full driving license.
    • Filming locations: east and west London
    • Dates of filming: 24th October, 16th November, 19th November (night shoot).
    • Fee: to be negotiated.

Many thanks for your help in advance, and sorry for the short notice.

    Best wishes
