Rear wheel bearings replacement

Hi all

Just had my yearly ticket inspection and received an advisory for one of the rear wheel bearings.I have been told they are a B....rd to replace and upon looking in the workshop manual special tools are required for the job.


Does anyone know of someone who provides this service on an exchange basis...ie send off your old half shafts and receive re-con ones ?

where are you based, I could do them for you, I'm in South London takes about a couple of hours, parts are about £20 for a kit.

Hi Dave,

I an certainly know's his stuff. It definitely isn't a DIY job. It took about 12 tone on a press to get my hub apart. Ian has the right tools to do this properly.

Diff is great thanks Ian. Quite a relief really, I wouldn't want to do it again, well not for another 90,000 miles at least!!
