Cooking Disaster - oddly, Not Stag Related!

I thought I would share this with you, should raise a laugh.

I had a bit of a cooking disaster this evening. Chucked frozen pie in the oven, following the instructions on the box. Timer went off and I opened the door to be greeted by a gentle flickering orange glow. I had set the oven to grill and grilled if for 30 mins @200deg C!!! I have had some cooking disasters in my time, but this is the first time I have actually set fire to my food!!!

Reminds me of a picture I took of one of Mrs B's finer cooking moments, complete with the source cookery book. No grilling mistake made. For some reason, those that know us well, always ask who is cooking when they are invited round....http://www.pbase.com/gsb/image/68990382.jpg

Just, but still a bit cool underneath. It was a bit damp after putting the fire out so definitely not at all salvageable!

Just to rub salt in the wounds, I was posting the pic on facebook and the spuds boiled dry as well! I think I should forget cooking and concentrate on tinkering with the car instead!

So that's your recipe for keeping slim

                        Save it for the 5th.

Now if I was cooking that it would be salvagable- turn it upside down and eat from the other end, simple

Trouble is, it wasn't cooked underneath otherwise I would have, and it was a bit damp from having to put the fire out!
