Getting onto my next job, which is to inspect and prepare the propshaft ready for fitting to my project car I found that there was some play in the sliding joint. As this would, no doubt allow the propshaft to shake around a bit and cause vibration, I checked the tightness of the gnurled collar which retains the sliding joint and found it was loose. After tightening, the play was eliminated. Just as well I checked it before fitting to the car.
I just thought it was worth mentioning as there have been a few postings about (transmission?) vibration recently, and this is easy enough to check/fix.
