Stags destined to be stripped for EBAY

Don't you think its sad to see itemised parts advertised on Ebay using photos of what looks like a perfectly restore-able, intact, Stag. Over the last few months a purple one has slowly disappeared, pictorially, as more and more bits were sold off. Today I noticed a white one start the process. So sad.

Yes i have noticed this and the white stag in question for a few hours with a welder to fix a bit of rot or condem the car strip and sell all it`s parts, and then sell the shell as a good basis for a restoration..

Looking on his 'other items for sale' on e.bay, he is doing the same with a pink one

It's been converted to a 6 Pot. Depending on that and how rotten the car is, it could be one reason.

Still, it a little dissapointing to see one more go off the road. Saying that, mine has been helped along by parts from other cars.

This chap has been doing this for years - he has been an eBay Member since November 2003. He must have split dozens of Stags in that time.

Sadly, with the price of fuel and the ongoing economical situation, Stags will get laid up as unaffordable to run. As soon as this happens they start to deteriorate rapidly and with the cost of professional labour quickly become uneconomical to repair. I fear that this is going to continue until only the very best (which can be afforded by the well-off) or those in the hands of true enthusiasts will survive.
