Well I've had my Tahiti blue stag for three weeks now and I can't believe my luck! Been out every weekend with roof down, thought it would be in the garage for the winter! I'm sure you have all experienced this but every time I'm out people point, smile stop you and ask a million questions. This is my first ever stag and classic car, and it is just AWESOME. It is nothing I've ever expereinced (especially as I'm a London taxi driver) stag ownership is truly amazing, especially with the forum and club. Sorry for going on but you know what I mean. I just can't stop smiling, CAN'T WAIT FOR THE SUMMER! Tony T

Looking forward to the summer too, if I get on well with my rebuild, I might even get to drive mine again sometime next year!"The UK,s 2nd Most Easterly Stag" Quad Exhaust- ZF 4 Speed BOX

Tony, I know what you mean!I've had my Stag for about two and half months and I just can't get the grin off my face either. The weather has been pretty poor "Up North" but on every occasion that I can, I take the old girl out. Yesterday the sun broke through the fog (it has been been foggy all day here today) so I took the Stag out and even though it was just a trip to the local town, it felt great. I wonder if members who have had their Stags for years, still get this feeling????

Half of Roomes is still there. They knocked down the older of the two buildings andbuilt an M&S simply foodI think they pulled fast one becuse it was the art deco one which I think would have been listed if there had been any suggestion of it being demolished. Also the Roomes family no longer own the department store so although the remaining building is still called Roomes Stores its now owned by a chain.
The Roomes family built a new store called "Roomes Apart" a little further down towards Bell Corner and they still own that as a furniture store. Upminster is, sadly, not what it was!

Reckon I should get it on the road at some point next summer, the earlier in the summer the better frankly!

Hi Tony,
A belated welcome to Stag ownership nd the forum from me and it's fabulous to read your enthusiasm for our beloved cars.
I used to work in a Triumph dealer when they were new and had my first one over 30 years ago. I then had an enforced break until two years ago and my enthusiasm is undiminished.
I love Tahiti Blue and it's great to hear you've been able to enjoy yours with the roof down. But just wait till you drive it with the hardtop as well - it's almost like a different - but equally enjoyable - car I reckon.
Cheers
Julian
