    Not quite to plan...

You may have seen my earlier post about the TR6 purchase. Well, yesterday the cash and V5 changed hands.

With a true sense of Dejavu from getting a lightly used Stag 5 years ago, I set-out on a 50 mile journey in a car that probably hasnt done a journey like that for 2 or 3 years. I am sure you can work out the rest.

Nick - Mad Cyclist was local to the final resting place and came out to lend a hand and stock my son with drinks - what a great gesture from a top bloke.

My son had a brillaint afternoon loading the low loader and riding in the cab.

My wife and neighbours found it all very amusing. I was a bit sad to say the least.

Today was better and I think Iwill have lot of fun inmy new toy.

Well I know petrol is expensive these days but some people will go to any lengths not pay for there journey:P

I hope it was nothing serious that caused the new toy to grind to a holt?

I should have probably have got the RAC to give a hand with my stag but you know how it is - better to spend 7 hours and 2 breakdowns getting it home! Good to see that some on the forum have more sense than me!

          Giles

I forgot the tools, didnt have any details about insurance or breakdown coverand had my son in the car - not sure I displayed to muchsense.

The AA (I remembered I got it free from my bank!)would have gone for a fix if I had been alone. I didnt think it would be reliable so insisted on low loader all the way.
