Replacing Stag doors

Are Mk1 & Mk11 doors different or are they interchangeable?
I'm sure this has been asked many times before but I can't find the answer searching.
Answer would be much appreciated.

The lock/ latching mechanisms are different. It is quite a lot of work to adapt one to the other as you have to alter the b post and the door frame.

Hi Keith,

I've just done my doors and found I had two different types. The only difference I found was that one had an additional cutout ajacent to the window lift motor. The lift motor fits in the same slot on both doors, so I don't know what the additional cutout is for. The arrowed bolts on the blue door are the mounting points for the lift motor. Ignore the one marked '3' as that is where I fitted central locking but so far that doesn't seem to have the 'throw' needed with the Mk1 locking mechanism.

Other than that, the doors seemed perfectly swappable and I fitted the Mk1 locks and mechanisms from the white doors to the blue doors. Mk 1 striker plates (on the B pillar) are a pressed steel 3-screw fitting, but Mk2 striker plates are a white plastic/steel plate sandwich that require 4 screws to the B pillar. these are not interchangable.
