    Slot alloy wheels - caps

There was a set of Appliance slot alloys on my Stag when I bought it in 1986. These should be fitted with a centre cap as per the attached photo, but over the years these have variously been lost or rusted and this is the sole survivor.

Does anyone have any ideas where I might get hold of some replacements? There are Wolfrace caps aplenty on e-bay, but they fit from the rear of the wheel and I'm fairly sure that my wheels don't have the recess that would accommodate these. The Appliance ones are different as they push in from the outside (which perhaps explains why they get lost) and are held in place by small nibs which you may just be able to see in the picture. The diameter is 80mm.

    Can anyone help?

My suggestion would be to look at US websites as they generally tend to have what you are after. Not so sure any UK stockist would have items from that era but I could be wrong.

Never heard of "Appliance" wheels - what do they look like?

                Hello, I

fitted my Stag rims from Appliance Industries with Wolfrace caps (80 mm). They are pushed in from the back, but this is no problem as the material is thin and soft enough to be pressed in.

                Kind regards,
                Dieter.

Thanks for all the advice. I'll give Minilite a call.

"Another Peter" - this is an old picture but shows you what they look like. They offend the purist, but after at least 30 years in place, they're what this particular car's used to and are now here to stay. (I use the same argument for my beer gut!)

                        Hello,

I think Appliance wheels with their slot mag design (similar to Wolrace's) suit a Stag quite well maybe better than wirek-Ansicht m. Wolfrace Appliance Ind. hochglanzverdichtet 6x14.JPGk-Ansicht m. Wolfrace vorn 08.10.JPGk-Ansicht m. Wolfrace v. li. 3 08.10.JPG wheels?

                        Kind regards,
                        Dieter.

                          Dieter,

Are those the Wolfrace caps in the pictures? How did you make them work with the Appliance wheel?

                          Ian
