What's it worth?

IF the TV8 engine I have is restored with: polished cranc,new bearings in big n little ends and main,new pots and rings(1st bore),unleaded heads with their 1st skim,new water and oil pumps, new carbs fitted,new chains n sprockets,all gaskets replaced etc,how much is it likely to be worth?

I realise it won't be a Faversham or Wards rebuild,but your thoughts would be welcome...thanks.

mm tend to agree with Martin, your rep for rebuilding will push the price up as you do them, well if you are planning too

The provenance of a stag engine is everything. If someone without a good reputation rebuilds one, even if it is done well, its market value is surprisingly low because simple mistakes can be so catastrophic. In contrast rRebuilds from reputable stag specialists can cost £4k+ and people will pay this.

Some time ago, one engine company (not stag specific) was advertising them for around £2k on ebay and they just didnt seem to sell; there was too much doubt about their reputation.
