I made the mistake of buyinganew rear bumper kitand overriders, sourced from Rimmers by my excellent local classic car garage, Caroline's Cars in Norfolk. The bumpersrusted within six months, despite being regularly cleaned, waxed etc. - and I've loads of pictures to prove it!
When the bumperswere sent back to Rimmers, all they said was that they'd not been cleaned and that they would not replace them. That's after they'd sat on them for several weeks and hung up on me when I phoned their trade line (the Manager did admit that he'd never received a day's Customer Service training in his life!)
Caroline's Cars have been excellent and are currently purchasing a new set through James Paddock, and are not going tocharge me. They're also moving all their trade business away from Rimmers, and are getting our local Trading Standards Office involved, as apparently this has happened to someone else previously.
The cost of re-chroming the bumpers I already had on the car would have been about the same as buying new ones, but at least the quality would have been assured if I'd have re-chromed.
Might be worth thinking about if you're bumpers are looking a bit tatty.
