    Couple of questions.

About to fit the exhaust and inlet manifolds and was wondering if I should apply sealants and if yesm what is recommended?

Can anyone tell me the torque settings for the watertransfer housingbolts on the back of the left cylinder head?

Are there any hoses to fit on the right water transfer housing? This head is still in place but I cant see any hoses attached.

There is a cable clip on one of left water transfer housing. On which bold does this go and for whcih cable is it.

    TIA

According to my (newly acquired!) ROM torque settings are 20lbft (2.8kgm)

I used Wellseal on the inlets and gungum on the exhaust manifold.

I also used gaskets on the exhaust manifolds - my reasoning being that the manifolds run far hotter than the heads and using gaskets would reduce heat transfer back to the heads and so put less load on the cooling system.

I also used wellseal on the inlet gaskets , and agree with the exhaust manifold gaskets , I put then on mine and have never had a blow from the manifolds since.

i always thought that there should br no sealent between the exhaust mani'sand heads, but correctly tightening created a pincer seal . may be different on non standard triumph tubular manifolds.

I was planning to use gaskets on both inlet and outlet but was not sure if I then should use any sealants as well?

Steve, I always use sealant and gaskets on exhaust but the downside is the sealant sticks to the gasket and makes it harder to reuse should you need to take it off. The exhaust manifold bolts are supposed to be tight (my book says 22-34ftlb) but I'm wary of this as like the inlet bolts they can strip after time.

              Cheers
