rebuild a car using a merlin v12 with fiat x19 seats and marina brakes and all is good in the hood...................BUT badges round the wrong way!!! we may be let out by xmas if we repent Russ,!! put mine on that way round as they fitted into the holder easier, wonder if they were put on the wrong sides when the car was rebuilt in the 90's.... i will get on to interpol now see if we can trace the culprit:P:P

OK all you clever guys, but how best does one grind down the over-sized badges and get them to fit into the badge holders? Another one of mine went AWOL the other day and I am faced yet again with filinga new badge to fit. I simply hate this job. There's got to be a better and quicker way!

For the best solution I shall offer a free ticket to the next AGM (meeting only) and, to the runner up, two tickets.

Small Dremel gringing wheel or silmilar. Fine grit sandpaper and airfix matt black paint to touch up. Works a treat. Oh, and to fit them into the holders, buy no more nails strips that are for holding on number plates.

Thanks for that Tim - well worth a try. No, I don't use number-plate stcky pads to hold them in.I have been using (and propose to use) Araldite, butit seemsI used insufficient last time.

I wouldn't advise to using anythig that is solvent based - it will disolve the plastic. I would use silicone from a mastic gun or No More Nails would probably be even better.
