I see they are offering some front end parts to "help with the repair" - surely a bottle of T-Cut is all that's needed?

You would need to be very brave for that one. I can see that being bought for an identity swap though.

I reckon on finding kinks in the front chassis legs and quite a bit of jigging to get that one running straight again. If it were exceptional everywhere else (rattle can silver carbs make me think not) it might be worth a punt but I reckon there are easier ways to stag owenership

my stag had quite a shunt in the rear in the eighties ,and it shortened one end by two and a half inches , the near side chassis tail is more forward than the drivers side , i hadnt noticed when fitting the bumpers ,and it looked way out ,i checked the irons and one is a lot different in profile than the other one ,
the cross member has got some really nasty graunches where it was jigged , i was just glad it wasnt a right off ,
back seats in today ,cubbies fitted ,rear belts done , hopefully carpets next weekend ,

was involved with accident repairs/jigging a few years ago and can advise anyone to tread with caution on this one as a lot of damage does not become apparant until the damaged bits are removed.a trick by some of these repairable salvage dealers is to give it a quick pull so at least doors open nothing onto the engine etc fasten a few bits back so it does'nt look as bad.a tell tale of a "quick pull" is to look for jaw marks on the sills where sill clamps have been bolted on.does'nt have to have been on a body jig for this as some can be used with the car on the floor.have repaired cars where the engine has been knocked back into the bulkhead and pulled out,the boot floor has been all rippled under the carpet where its had a "quick pull" so the rear doors would open all found by the unsuspecting buyer too late! as the saying goes buyer beware!!
