Right afternoon all i know this sounds stupid but how do you get the battery out of wherte it is situated from as i can not get the batery out, sorry all but do not have any knowledge of stags and this is my first one, would be greatful for any advice many thanks lukegrace

Hiya Luke, welcome. If you don't know something, it's a good question. You need to move the power steering pump, not difficult, lift out the washer bottle and place to one side, slacken the three bolts at the front of the pump bracket at the head, lift off the belt, then remove the bolts, having layed an old towel where the washer had been, lay the pump on the towel, don't tip it too much or the fluid will exit. I know it's a poor design, but how often do you need to remove the battery ?
Taking the battery clamp off is easy, putting it back can be awkward, if you have a prob with it, pop back. Martin.

Just one thing I'd add to Martin's lucid explanation - don't move the washer bottle to one side whilst the exhaust manifold is still hot

Not really, just someone who once had a melted washer bottle . It was a long time ago, but it was one of the first Stag lessons that I taught myself
