Not a Rover transplant this time...

I love the fact that this Stag looks quite normal, but under the bonnet lurks a 5 litre Chevy engine

Not to everyone's taste I know, but it looks to have been nicely done.

Find your dream classic car from over 10,000 private adverts plus many more trade adverts on Europe's No 1 classic cars site. 100% F...

It does look nice, but no mention of upgrade of rear axle; and would you want to put all that torque through those wire wheels?

Can't see the asking price, either?

Not much point in an ad without a price.......

Follow the link to their website and you will find it marked 'SOLD'.................

Looks very nice in the pictures. Someone obviously had some money burning a hole in his/her pocket.

This had been up for sale on there site for some time, looks good but you would need alot of other mods to the car to match that engine, has anyone got any more info about this car, just interested

The challenger wheels I bought late last year came off that car. Apparently the conversion was done by faversham classics

Stunning is the word for that. If you are going to change an engine you may as well change it with something that has some balls to it!

Sorry, I will be more polite about Rover V8s in the future...

One for the anoraks out there...

On the picture showing the hardtop, there appears to be some form of sticker in the bottom off-side of the rear window. Is it some form of specification table? Not seen it on any other hardtop and just wondered if it was a factory fitted item?

                Regards

I seem to remember back in the 70's we had a sticker similar in size to that when my father took our Ford Corsair 2000E to europe. It was a fuel gallons to litres table or something similar.I could be wrong but it just sparked a memory..

I showed an interest in this car because of the Chevy lump in it,I spoke to Faversham's who said they had done some work on the car,he mentioned the engine had been fitted with no thought to the front susp'n or steering and all that had to be changed,he also said it was not completed by them and the owner had spent a vast amount making the car usable. That said,it does look very smart and was advertised for £19,995 if memory serves me correctly,as its a LHD car it may be used abroad?

                          Andrew.

That confirms why I added "apparently" in my quote something didn't quite ring true about faversham doing it

Another anorak's observation - the Stags on the rear wing badges are running in the wrong direction

                              And an other anorack

For a Mk1 - it has the wrong mk2 dials and dashboard, Mk2 hood, mk2 seats. It looks good though.
