centre consol

morning all well im well under way with me stripping my stag think it will take me a couple of day in all but have a small problem how do you get the centre consol out, allso has anyone any idea,s how to get the bolt, screw from the front of the T bar as i cant move the bloody thing, many thanks andrew

on the centre console there is a black plastic trim strip just in front of the gear stick,if you carefully lever this forward the switch panel will lift up and there are 2 screws under this holding the centre console down.there must be others up the front end too but never removed these myself so you will need to search a bit! if you are removing the T bar take the side bolts out first as the bar will be spring back slightly when released and take some pressure off the front bolt/screws.also Rimmers web site has some good clear schematic drawings which can be useful when looking for elusive fixings.good luck with your rebuild.

After removing the three handles from the heater sliders there are four screws holding the heater panel in place. Behind this panel are two more that hold the console to the subframe that's attached to the heater itself. At least that's what it's like on my car. Non A/C cars may differ a bit.
