YESSS ! mag dropped through the letterbox this morning, first Friday of the month, as promised.
Sterling work Carl, thank you, I hope doing it alone won't grind you down Martin.
Hi,
Got the magazine today, some great articles, especially "Memoirs of a new Stag owner" - nice one Graham. I hope Heather does'nt get to read it or you are in big trouble. Also a good one on hoods by V Mad.

What's the situation then Dave? We heard the rumour mill back in December or whenever it was, that E was no longer editor seemingly not through his choice, but nothing was confirmed officially so I thought that there would be something in this edition.
An enjoyable read this month with a good selection of articles. I particularly enjoyed reading about the trip to Monaco. The other interesting bit was the stats about historic car usage. Based on our annual mileage we are in the top 8% of users. Gresley must be near the top 2% with 10,000pa in his Stag.
Thanks for the kind comments about the last two magazines. Just for clarification, I was responsible as Editor for both of these, as I have been for the past two years. Carl was responsible as Assistant Editor for the Out & About and Classified Ads, as he has been up till now.
Incidentally you might be interested to know the steps the magazine goes through before it reaches you.
When Rod Boulding was Editor, he was responsible for producing the whole magazine, and delivering it to the printers, and was paid for doing this. When the Committee removed him from his post, they decided to divide the production of the magazine into two posts, Editor and Assistant Editor, both again being paid positions. This was to avoid the Club being dependent on one person.
The Assistant Editor was responsible for the Out & About, the Classified Ads, and the Club Information on Pages 2 & 3. The Editor was responsible for the rest of the magazine, including Covers, Articles, and the Display Ads. He was also in overall charge of the magazine, responsible for ensuring it reached the printers in time for it to be delivered to most members by the first week of the month. The two people appointed were myself Editor, and Carl Fuss, Assistant Editor.
The Committee also stipulated that every issue of the magazine was to be vetted by a person nominated by them, to ensure it complied with Club rules, regulations, procedures and requirements. The nominated person was our President, Lesley Phillips, who read and approved every issue. This arrangement was a good one, as it is always important that any magazine is read by a second pair of eyes, though thankfully I hope she will agree, she only ever found a couple of typos and spelling glitches each month. She also spotted when I had occasionally mixed up a Regional Co-ordinator with an Area Co-ordinator, or had included a booking form for an event whose cut-off date was after the Press Date, but before the magazine was delivered.
The arrangement also allowed the Committee to make any changes or late additions to the magazine, but again the only couple of times they did this was to add a notice for a major event such as the combined TR International and Stag National, which came through after the copy date for the month.
In November the Committee told me that they were not going to renew my contract and were going look for a new Editor.
I remained in place for the December 2011 and February 2012 issues, carrying out my role and responsibilities, and Carl continued to carry out his.
I was particularly pleased with the last two issues, as I had been planning through the year to use the extra space freed up by a reduced winter Out & About section to include a wider range of articles, showcasing what members do in their Stags, and hopefully encouraging people to follow in their footsteps. I was also particularly pleased to include the article about Giovanni Michelotti, as it gave a personal background to the man whose soul still lives on in our cars.
I would like to thank you and all members for your support over the past two years, as I will be sad to be leaving the post.
well done emrhys you can be justly proud of your work it was as you stated noted on the forum the change in the mag of late and its fuller content.
