Oh yes, it was big ends and main bearings that led to complete front suspension and subframe refurb

Mind you, I think we should call that sort of thing a 'Moraystag' these days - but yes, I wouldn't be surprised if I don't start doing my engine bay and then end up taking out the engine just to do it properly

Good luck with yours - I'll watch your progress with interest !

    Cheers

At my current rate of getting on with jobs mine won't be 'a few weeks', and probably not even 'a few months' - probably more like 'a few years' .

I'll look out with interest for how you get on Alan. Good luck

        Cheers

Hi Edd, the cling film is an interesting tip I hadn't thought of before, could be useful in a lot of places that are difficult shapes to mask. I'll be giving that one a try sometime

            Regards, Jim

Just be sure you have proof of use when taking a massive roll of cling film home from work or your going to be talked about

No, it's just friendly banter, honest. Take a look at my second post (the ninth one down) on here : http://www.stag.org.uk/forum/showthread.php?15482-Water-pump-cover-gaskets-why-two

Just a thought about the cling film, it does sound like a very good idea, accuracy etc. but if sprayed directly onto, the overspray will "bounce" onto other parts, that's why the pro's use paper. Martin.

I agree martin , i wouldnt want to lay to much paint on it as it could build up and flake off and float about ! i intend to use it as back up as two pack does stick to anything and boy overspray does not look pretty !
I was going to add this but you beat me to it !
                          Regards edd
