Hi, if you want the aluminium billet centre, you'll need to go to MotoLita themselves. I have the plastic one if you need it.

After only getting my Stag within the last month I went with the company reffered to me by the Owners Club, RH Speciaist Insurance, fully comp was £106.96 with a ltd mileage of 3000, I asked how much extra if I went over the mileage and they said its only about £10. Its underwritten by Equity Red Star.

Hi Martin,
On the document it states Estimated value, they didn't mention other options and to be honest I don't really know exactly what the true value is, I guess its that old chestnut of "As much as someone is willing to pay for it" . As you may be aware I bought it from my wife's Uncle who had owned it for the last 21 years but not used it for the last 10, maybe a couple of very brief and short outings but that would be it.
I bought it for a great price of £2500 but think its worth around £5k at least, bodywork is excellent and its well undersealed, it has a new hood and exhaust, the interior I would like to change at some stage (when I can afford to !) I need to do the MOT and Tax, the only other things are there is a small oil leak apparently from the steering rack but maybe from the power steering resovoir, and a few minor electrics inside. Other than that its all good......I hope...

The problem with market value, is they may offer you what you paid, or even less. Insurance companies are notorious for wriggling out of paying. If you think it would cost you £5k to replace, then that's the amount you want agreed value for, as you improve the old girl you can increase the value. Cheers,
Martin.
