Early USA LHD Stag Feb 1971

Hi,
I just looked at my commision plate and noticed my LHD USA car was LD 1123 Built Feb 1971, just wondered if any one knows what number the first LHD stag would have been?, this must be close, pressuming they built some RHD cars first?

Hie Neil,

The first LHD Stag was LD2, but this was pre-production. There were earlier prototypes. Dave Jell is you man for this info.

LD2 has recently re-surfaced in the USA and is, I believe, being restored. Now wouldn't it be nice to get LD1 & LD2 together, like the TR boys did with TS1 & TS2 (the TR2 prototypes) a short while back.
