I would probably get my wheel arches sorted out. Assuming that it could all be done for a grand - if it could be stretched a bit (a lot) it would be all the rust and a respray!
Probably convert to a BW65 from my 35, should be poss for a grand ! As Dave said - a good question, you must be bored mate, but it's still a good question. Martin.
My grand would need well stretched!! There wouldn't be much change once I'd got a new soft top, a set of tyres, my bumpers rechromed, new carpets and a tank of petrol
regards, Jim
If it were me doing things with my heart over my head I would probably splash the cash on some new manifolds (tubular items) and a half decent dizzy (either a refurb with electronic ignition, or ideally the 123 item).
But with my sensible hat on it would be between either refurbing the soft top (hood and frame) or refurbing the hard top.

What would you hope to get from the change over Martin, your 35 seemed to work fine to me, you may get a slightly better gear change but I believe ratio's are like for like or thereabouts. It still a fully hydraulically controlled box with 3 cogs
