This is a photo of my winter work on my dash which i completed using the Practical classic instructions, plus the hood frame that i powder coated using kit i purchased off E-bay and painted with 2 pack the parts that are to big for the oven, i now need to put the hood back and put right the bits i got wrong first time i fitted it, My next purchase will be a wooden rim stearing wheel which i hope to get at Stonleigh and i think it will look great with the dash
Hope this gives some of you the incentive to have a go at doing jobs on your stag yourself. The dash cost me £60 for parts and many hours, and i've probably got enough bits to do another dash, so 2 dash reveneers for £60 is a big saving.

It would be good to see a picture of your handy work. I'm currently buying my way to a complete veneer set. Buying the bits on ebay as and when they pop up. I can take my time over it then without taking anything out of the car.

I think the maximum size is 100KB, so you will need to reduce them in size. The way I do it it is to load them into paint, then select the tab Image followed by the option Attributes. This will give you the size in bytes. Now, by using a calculator, divide 102400(which is a 100k in bytes) by the size reported. In my example, that gives just over 91%. Now go back to paint, select the tab Image again and then the option Stretch/Skew. I put the value of 90% (always good to go a bit lower) in both horizontal and vertical and then press OK. Now save the file with a different name (you want keep the original as it is I suspect) and now you should have a file that will be small enough to load.

Your dash looks very good its a lot of work but well worth it I just finished mine you do learn a lot, cutting the holes for the gauges is a bit of a pain.
