I'm just wondering if my old Stag is still in circulation. NHK 987P 1976 MOD in Topaz with saddle tan interior. I owned it from 1982 to 1985 and if memory serves me I sold it to Peak Performance Stag Centre at Heathrow.

Thanks. Where do you go to find this info?
After 22 years I'd assume that it's a goner! If the car had switched to personalised plates would it show up?

Select 'Vehicle Enquiry' => 'Next' then enter Regeistration Number and select Make from the drop down box. You will get a page listing the information as shown by Peter for your old Stag.

1974 Mk2, ZF Auto, 3.45 Diff, Datsun Driveshafts. Stag owner/maintainer since 1989.
However, having just checked, it will show up as "not found" if it's on a personalised plate - so the results above indicate that it is still on the same registration number, but off the road for some time.
I have tried to check the history of my Stag on this site and it also comes back with "Vehicle details not found". My Stag was originally a UK registered car and the photo album that came with it shows its plate was "EX 673 Y" . Would this be a personalised plate? Any suggestions on how I can get any information on its history? If my expereince working with the public service here in Australia is any indication calling DVLA from here may be a lengthy and therefore costly process!
I didnt know you could check a car like that, thanks for the info, i think!
Just checked out my newly bought Stag and it comes up "vehicle details not found"
Hopefully a phone call to DVLA will it it sorted
steve
That might be because the car was not taxed when the SORN rules came into force. I had a car that was not on the road at the time and went to register it for the new regs and the reply came back as not required.
