But if you view
"forum leaders" under "quick links" every one is there.
Scrap that, it doesnt work anymore, it used to show a full list of members although it said leaders.It must have changed since the technical panel has been added.
Whitestagv8 is Ben Mould from Devon. He did post some time ago saying that the Stag was going on SORN for the winter and that he may not be on the forum for a while. I guess he will be back looking for help when it comes to waking the beast up again in the spring.

Most have given up with this new format forum it has to be the most difficult forum ever to operate. see i cant even put the smiley where it was intended.......If you want to "show" a picture of what you were queryingering you need a degree in computing to make the image become part of the tread!!!
Some have mastered it but forget it for me no chance, it is a shame as it was great place to be able to hop on and ask stupid questions, and the old boys could easily post a reply and a very good photo of how you should have done the task in the first place!

I struggled a bit at first and got totally pi***d off with it and was on the point of giving up. However with a bit of guidance from others and, I think, some tweaks to the system, I now find it totally straight forward - in fact I'd say just as easy as the old system.
So, try and stick with it and ask away about your problems - I hope you'll find it worth it.
This is exactly the same style as the Frontera Owners club's that I used to use alot and the UK aquatic forum that I am currently into now I have my fish tank running again.
Putting photos up is easy enough once you work it out. Its better if you host the pictures on something like photbucket or flickr. (I know that can be a pain when you just want to do a quick reply) The pictures come out in a larger format and are easier to see as a reader. The only drawback to that is if you move or edit a photo in the host site it goes off here!
You can host them from your own computer but the size is then reduced to Forum format
It all reduces bandwidth and computer type geek speak and thereby limits the cost of operating the forum!
Smileys are minimal though we could have more but mine do come out in the right place.... when i remember they are there to use
Keep at it and ask questions in plain typing... most will help you out then take the p*** (Some will just take the p*** ) but all in good natured fun. We Aussies can take that I think (even us pommie ex aussies!)
Does take a while to get used to something new - but a lot of Forums now use vBulletin, so when you get used to it you will find it easier when you visit other Forums.
Another member who hasn't posted for a while is "Snakey" from the Oxford area - but he is visiting us in Tenerife in September so will ask him why.
I think vBulletin is also more difficult to manage for the Administrators - so I sympathise with Carl and the other Administrators/Moderators on here.
I myself am a Moderator on another Forum (not a vBulletin one though - but a much simpler one), and know how tricky it can be to affect changes.
I didn't like vBulletin much when I was first introduced to it elsewhere, but have (more or less) got used to it by now, but I used to be an I.T. Manager before I retired and moved to Tenerife - so if I have problems then I am not surprised that others have to!

Hiya, if you Google PIXresizer you'll find a free simple programme to resize pics for you, then click on the image icon (above) and it'll lead you through. Martin.
