    Bright Eyes?

To all you electricians out there.....

My dials are literally one candle in imperial - i.e. almost unreadable.

    Here's the question

If I take the 'rheostat' out and 'bridge' the cables will I get all my brightness back.
After all - have you ever heard of ONE person adjust this figure (all the new cars have it)

Not once have I heard of someone changing the brightness other to see if it works.

Anyhow - do I get a bright screen if I bridge the knob, so to speak please?

According to Kryten, yes, certainly worth a try, if it's not good enough, you could try an LED conversion, which will be bright enough. Martin.

Which did you do? The cheapskate rheostat bypass or the longwinded change to LED?

my rheostat allows rotation to a 'bright' position just before 'lights out' position.

its a very only available over a very small angle
