    Got to agree with Rodger over Michelin ZX,after toooooo many years in the motor trade, never removed a ZX with no tread, only cracked side walls or other damage AND THEIR GRIP LEVEL WAS POOR!
    People must balance what they want their tyres to do and for how long! (miles and years)
    Maybe theres no point paying loads for a tyre on a low mileage classic when the tyres are more likely to rot before they wear out,INMHO

      Not sure if I have said this here before, but there is an awful lot of rubbish spouted about tyres - often as second-hand knowledge or hearsay. This whole idea of "premium" and / or "budget" tyres is all a bit of a nonsense as buying the most expensive make doesn't automatically mean you are getting the best tyre - whatever "best" might mean.

      I call it "tyre snobbery" as each brand has those who rate them and those that don't. Your own experience is the best indicator although this site seems to give unbiased comparative data on which to base a decision ;
