Hi all, me again. I have notice that my near side window frame slopes too far inwards towards the car and the top of it doesn't sit right to the underside of the hood rail. Before i take of the door card and investigate is there any adjustment to be had to this slope. The drivers side looks OK. The door fit isn't 100% but by the sounds of it is the best that can be achieved judging by previous posts.

Hi Dan,
Yes, the door frame is quite adjustable. This is from memory as I sit at the computer, but there are two rubber bungs on the lock face of the door which hide securing (adjusting) nuts and the forward fixing will be revealed when you remove the door card. Once the card is off, you'll be able to see how the movements can be made. Just be careful that when you make adjustments, they do not warp the frame because that can make the window glass difficult to move. It's a bit fiddly, but perfectly do-able.
All the best with it,
Duncan, Skye

I have the opposite problem, my windows do not come in far enought to meet the door seal (well and the hood). I tried the adjustment and no luck. So, I guess either the door does not sit right and needs to be adjusted or the seal has got compressed over the years and no longer sticks out far enough to meet the window frame. Opinions please.
Cheers

Could be any of the above, but ypur door frame isn't bent, is it? The tracks should form a smooth, gentle curve from top to bottom. If your window sticks a bit around the half-way point, that might be an indication.
With best wishes,
Duncan.
