Hi guys, came across an interesting thread about BMW reviving the Triumph brand.

Thank God they saw sense (if this article is true) and didn't start the Triumph off again using that awful tin hat mini thing they've just put on the shelves, it would have been the quickest demise of a revamped brand in history!

I rather hope things are left as they are, any revival, given car makers history, will only serve to dilute the brand, just look at MG - eeuch ! Imagine a BMW 1 series with a Triumph badge, it doesn't bear thinking about ! Martin.

The screen surround was mgf-esque.
The triumph insignia was from JB s motorcycle!
The appearance was too dreadful to post.

Hi guys, came across an interesting thread about BMW reviving the Triumph brand.

I wouldn't believe it for one moment.

Every few months or so, there is the same rumour regurgitated about BMW reviving Triumph and/or Riley.

Can you really imagine BMW reviving a brand that would be in direct competition with their Z4, 3 series coupe/convertable?

There is more chance of you not buying a ticket to the Euromillions draw tomorrow night, and then being announced as the jackpot winner.

There's a report in this week's Autocar about it.

It says something like BMW filed to use the name Triumph on all manner of things including cars - things like merchandise and even Christmas decorations

But, am i correct in thinking the New BMW Mini had a big impact on the interest and value of the original BL Mini's??, maybe a new Triumph would help keep the price of the original Triumph cars going in the right direction??
