I'm being stupid (again)

I took the air filter off the V8 to get to the choke mechanism to adjust it - it was snapped (which made it clear why it took some encouragement to start up)

So I fixed the cable and was very proud that I achieved it!!

Here comes the crunch.

I put the air filter back on tunes etc. Then a problem.....

I forgot where the thin flexi-pipe goes from the unit on top of the air filer house (Mark II).

It's daft! I must have done it 10's of times and even the Triumph haynes book isn't clear.

Any ideas please?

PS I'm going to be doing doing an oil change with Activ8 stuff put in (sorry, note on topic but I cannot recommend this stuff enough it's so good )

The pipe goes onto the thermic sensor at the base of the filter.

So in effect the the little (width) pipe from the top of the middle on the air filter housing round the under side of the air box and attach to that.

Hmm I seem to remember that there was another tube there - which was kinked , by the war.

Thanks for your info - I'll tackle it tomorrow. Jeesh - I hate those clips that fasten the top of the box in place (when you have a K&N in situ !!!!!)

Yes and there is another short tube that goes from the thermic sensor to the inlet manifold vacuum take off. Make sure they are all a tight fit and dont leak air or your car may not idle well.

Hiya, easy, the front pipe goes to the front air filter stub, and the rear - - goes to the rear Martin.

Hmmm I will have to have a proper look at the filter and housing etc. I'm totally stupid cos I've done this a load of times before.
ok pending another look I have noticed a new bad experience. Off topic so I will start a new forum thingy (about wobbly wheels)
