Auto electrician in Reading area?

Temp gauge is not working (think its a disconnected wire behind the dash. The spade terminal is attached to the gauge but no wire to it), wipers not working (think its the stalk because the single wipe function still works, but nothing else), windscreen washer pump does not work (bought a new motor. Could be related to the wiper stalk). So I'm looking for an automotive electrician in the Reading area - preferably mobile, but not vital - to fiddle behind the dash and reconnect the temp gauge, fit a new wiper stalk and have a fiddle with the washer.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Hi Richard,

why not have a go your self, you'll get all the help need on here. Your temp gauge is easy just look in the rom and find the wire colour and connect it. with the washers put a test light across the wires! and the wiper stalk is just using a screw driver.

A new wiper stalk is not peanuts and is unlikely to have failed (having seen the inside of mine before switching to LHD stalks). I would be tempted to look elsewhere. I'm still new to Stags but I'm not afraid to have a go at electrics. Charvil is not too far from Oxford is it? Once I've got my manual back from another Stag owner in distress, I'd be happy to try and help.

Thanks for the offer of help. I've managed to find a chap who will come around next week and hopefully sort me out. I'll let you know what the problems turns out to be.
