    rear spring removal and refit

hi all ,my question today is :is it possible to remove the rear springs without undoing the driveshafts from the diff flanges ,i was thinking with the use of spring compressers it may be possible ,but not sure if spring compressers would fit on the narrow springs / ? rgds Graham

Just disconnect the lower shock absorber mount, jack up the rear and pull out the spring. No need for compressors.

John's quite right if they are standard shafts, but if they are not, then you have to disconnect the flange end of the diff

Had to undo the drive shaft on the N/S on mine IIRC. I do have full stainless system though !!!!

I think whether you need to disconnect the inner joint, depends on which way the bolts are facing, if the nuts are on the diff side, the joint should flex enough, if the other way, they have to come out. Martin.
