    kenlowe fan

hi all, I shall be draining, flushing and refilling the cooling system tomorrow and, time permitting, attempting to fit a kenlowe fan. I have the wiring diagram so no issues there, I also have all the fixing brackets but as the fan was bought as a used item no details on mechanical fixings.anyone fixed one of these if so where does it attach and I assume the viscous fan is retained. not had chance to study it at all so any feedback before tomorrow would be a big help.

    cheers. pete.c :?

      Hi Pete

I would see how your car is after you have done your fettling, the jury is out on kenlows, some say they restict the flow of air thus making its use seem the way to go, if your car is running correctly and has a healthyishengine ,they are not really required.

I run mine on a manual switch (the top hose was a devil to stop leaking with the sensor in it), just incaseI ever get stuck in a traffic jam, but I honestly can't remember the last time I ran it.

cheers i have a fax at work ,cant remember the number though so I will look on monday. top hose sealing does concern me though so had some advice off a plumber friend and hope it all works out. p.s. flushing went ok but there must be alot of water left in the block as barely got half what I wanted to get in, but engine running sweet at just below half on the fear gauge !

          thanks. pete.c
