wiper problem

a friend of mine has got a problem with his wipers will not turn off with switch. will stop eventualy. the switch has been changed but has not made any difference has anybody any ideas

Hi, it will be the adjustment in the wiper motor. There is a small whit plastic block that cuts the power off and this can be adjusted to cut off earlier etc.

the parking switch on the windscreen wiper motor, is bad contact or broke

If the failure happened suddenly, It's quite possible that the tag that operates the park switch has broken off, which means a new rack, or some surgical welding, if gradually, it's likely the slipper has worn, or the screws underneath, holding the switch housing are loose and the whole thing has moved. None of this is difficult or expensive. Martin.
