Silly question has anyone got a spare boot !

I know its a silly question but has anyone got a boot for sale which isnt full of filler like mine !
I have a 74 Mk2 and i am willing to travel for a decent part
Another Question is are mk1 and mk2 boots the same and how do you tell them apart , do the bolts line up ?

Either let me know here or pm me ,
    Regards Edd

Hi Edd,I dont have one sorry, however the Mk2 have the number plate light cut out in the lid (as yours should be)and the Mk1 does not as the light is on the bumper.I guess a Mk1 would do if you are replacing the lower repair panel..

      Cheers

          Hi Edd,

A good used boot lid falls into the category of Rocking Horse S**T and Hens Teeth, if you do find one I hope you have deep pockets unless you lucky.

I see that Robsport currently have a new bootlid for sale at £425. They also have a fibreglass bootlid for £130 or rear edge repair panels if you want to repair what you have already.

                  Regards

                  Chris

Thanks for that quarrymot. Shipping will be expensive and I'm sure one will appear on e bay uk listing. I can still use my existing boot and source one after the rebuild but it's has a 1/2 layer of filler on the top rear edge and it would be a shame as I'm trying my best to use the parts I can afford
