Surprisingly easy and it fits too !

Hi all

Replaced my soft top last week.After doing my homework,I had considered driving some considerable distance from Devon to have it fitted but bit the bullet as my car likes to bite if I go further than about fifty miles and bought one through one of the advertisers in the traders section......can I name him ?? Oh s.d it why not.

I bought my roof from Chris Spain.It arrived promptly and was a real breeze to fit.I had a friend help me and the only real difficulty was getting the rear catch to engage.We both had to kneel on the rear area beneath the screen but it went in.

As per the instructions we will leave it for two weeks to allow for it to stretch.

I really didn't envisage such a task would be so simple.

Sounds like a an Electric car, limited range

I have never met Chris Spain in person. As far as I followed this forum, however, I guess you made the right choice, as Chris seems to be the (!) expert. On top of that he contributed some very useful hints in the SOC magazine. As a German friend of mine just bought a Stag in Belgium with a "rudimentary" soft top, I even suggested to consult Chris.
